Doctor of Biology and Professor of Genetics at the University of Valencia.
Manuel Pérez Alonso received his PhD in Biology from the University of Valencia, where he is a professor of Genetics. His research focuses on molecular genetics and genomics applied to medicine. As principal investigator, he has developed more than 30 research projects in his university laboratory, funded by various national and international organizations, and three biotechnology patents that have been transferred to the biopharmaceutical industry. Among his contributions in the field of biomedicine, his participation in three international genome sequencing consortia stands out.
He is a founding partner and scientific consultant of Mendel Brain and has chaired the BioRegion of the Valencian Community (BIOVAL), as well as the Spanish Association of Scientific Entrepreneurs (AEEC).
