Giovanni Scapagnini, MD, PhD is a full professor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of University of Molise, Campobasso
Trained in Medicine and Neurobiology at the University of Catania, he has developed an
extensive international career as a researcher and visiting professor at institutions in
Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including Johns Hopkins University and the
University of Maryland. He is vice president and founder of the Italian Society of
Nutraceuticals (SINUT) and founder and scientific director of the GardaValley Foundation.
His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of aging,
neurodegenerative diseases, and nutrient-activated signaling pathways.
He has more than 20 years of experience, over 200 scientific publications, 50 book chapters,
40 patents, and has participated as a speaker in more than 400 international conferences.
